The Royal Horticultural Society (RHS) has revealed plans for 2027, introducing a new event in Bristol and reviving a major show after a three-year hiatus. The changes form part of the RHS’s broader effort to extend its influence beyond established exhibition sites.
A fresh show will open at the Prospect Building in Bristol from July 8–11, 2027. The venue’s combination of indoor galleries and an outdoor courtyard will feature temporary plant installations, expert discussions, practical workshops, and interactive exhibits. Organizers emphasize that the event will deliver the RHS’s hallmark botanical displays to an urban crowd, appealing to both city-based gardeners and those with restricted outdoor access.
At the same time, the RHS Flower Show Tatton Park in Cheshire will resume after its last edition in 2024, running July 21–25, 2027. The program will include show gardens, floral displays, and talks, with a focus on emerging talent through its Young Designer Gardens competition. The return shows the RHS’s dedication to nurturing regional horticultural networks.
This expansion builds on the RHS’s 2024 decision to develop touring exhibitions, which have already included stops at Wentworth Woodhouse (2025), Badminton Estate, and Sandringham Estate this year. The approach aims to improve accessibility, helping the RHS connect with broader audiences while partnering with varied locations.
James Wren, the RHS’s director of development and shows, stated that the Bristol event would bring the excitement of an RHS Show to a lively urban setting, offering motivation for all gardeners. He added that alongside the touring format, the return to Tatton Park would honor the North West’s gardening traditions.
The 2027 calendar will also preserve two long-standing shows: the RHS Malvern Spring Festival in Worcestershire (May 6–9) and the RHS Chelsea Flower Show in London (May 18–22). Additional seasonal gatherings at RHS gardens across the UK will supplement the lineup.
