Designers Announced For 2026 Kips Bay Show House

The Kips Bay Decorator Show House has officially unveiled the roster of designers and sponsors for the 2026 New York edition. Set within the storied townhouse at 80 West Washington Place in the heart of Greenwich Village, this year’s event will open to the public on Sept. 16 for a month-long run. The annual occasion transforms one of Manhattan’s most iconic residences into a destination for design enthusiasts, tastemakers, collectors, and industry leaders from around the world.

Each room offers a unique vision from today’s top design talent, creating an immersive experience that celebrates the very best in interior design. Beyond its role as a design landmark, the show house serves a greater mission as the signature fundraiser for the Kips Bay Boys & Girls Club. For more than five decades, the event has raised more than $33 million to support the organization’s educational and enrichment programs for young people throughout New York City.

Daniel Quintero, executive director of the Kips Bay Boys & Girls Club, spoke about the impact of the gathering. “We are honored to bring together some of the industry’s most talented designers in support of a mission that extends far beyond these walls,” Quintero said. He noted that the event has helped create opportunities for so many young people through the club’s life-changing programs, expressing deep gratitude to this year’s participants for helping to continue that legacy.

Leadership and Design Roster

Renowned designer Bunny Williams returns as honorary show house chair. She will be joined by co-chairs Jamie Drake and Alexa Hampton, with Andrew Torrey serving as vice chair. Galerie Magazine will serve as the show house’s national media partner. The leadership team aims to guide the creative direction of the historic space.

The 22 designers participating in this year’s Decorator Show House New York include Aamir Khandwala Interior Design, Robbins Architecture and Interiors, and Tyler Banken | Setting Design & Outdoor Living. While the full list of participants is extensive, the selected group represents a mix of established firms and specialized creators. Each designer is responsible for transforming a specific area of the townhouse.

Historically, decorator show houses often relied heavily on the prestige of furniture manufacturers and the personal brand recognition of the designers to draw crowds. By explicitly integrating a curated art component into the structural narrative of the tour, the organizers appear to be responding to a market that increasingly values the intersection of fine art and interior decor as a single, cohesive lifestyle statement rather than separate decorative elements.

A Focus on American Art

For the first time at the Kips Bay Decorator Show House New York, the organization has partnered with art historian, advisor, and curator Gay Gassmann. She is curating a collection featuring exclusively American artists. The initiative adds a new layer of storytelling throughout the show house while highlighting the depth and diversity of American artistic talent and creation.

Gassmann’s selection of curated works is intended as a celebration of American art and artists. The organizers stated that the collection is also an expression of living with art, color, and joy. This partnership marks a shift in how the event incorporates visual culture into its interior spaces.

Industry Support and Sponsors

The event relies on substantial support from various corporate partners. The sponsors for this year’s Show House include Advanced Home Audio Inc., Artistic Tile, Benjamin Moore, and Calico Wallpaper. Other major backers include Casamance Inc., Christopher William, Corston USA, and Edward Fields Carpet Makers / Tai Ping Carpets.

The list of sponsors are extensive and includes Kohler, Kravet, Made Goods, and Marc Phillips Decorative Rugs. Additional support comes from Morris and Co., Morris Moving & Storage, New York Design Center, Pace Gallery, and Perrotin. Rounding out the group are Phillip Jeffries, Pooky Lighting, Ropes and Gray, Royal Green Appliance Co. in partnership with Viking and Lynx, Rug & Kilim, SilverLining, Susan’s Jewelry Collection, and The Shade Store.
